First lecture supposed to start on coming tuesday.
I've already printed out course content, assignment task sheets, and lecture notes for the whole semester.
Want to have a quick start so that I won't live a zombie's life again on coming semester.
Spent hours listening to audiovisuals, reading the materials, doing notes, etc.
just for week 1, i wonder how I can spend few hours just on part of one topic.
then only I realise why is it so that:
- we have only 1 lecture & tutorial for 1 topic in an entire week
- we might have only 2 days of 4 hours lesson to attend for a week.
so much difference from secondary school when we have to
- have few lessons of the same subjects in a week
- attend school from 7.30am to 1.05pm? 5 days a week,
and what's with the text book that lecturer seldom use in class?
the reason is that there's no more spoon feeding!
everything is stated in course content.
even study schedule is prepared for us, stating we have to complete tasks like listening audiovisuals, discussing in forum, reading text chapters, etc. in weekly basis.
students are expected to be well prepared when they're attending lessons.
lecturers are just facilitators.
they're not supposed to 100% deliver the information to you.
you're the one who should work on it!!!!
I shall say, 90% self-study and 10% classroom study.
now i understand why somebody said she spent 10 hours for one subject in a week.
cool~ will try if i can keep the momentum of being nerdy. :P
